Given:
7 kg turkey

cooking time: over 4kg;
allow 20 minutes per kg plus 90 minutes
leave to rest for 30 minutes before carving

20 * 7 = 140 minutes + 90 minutes = 230 minutes cooking time
230 minutes + 30 minutes to rest = 300 minutes all in all

300 minutes ÷ 60 minutes = 5 hours

If he plans to carve the turkey at 17:15,

17:15 - 5:00 = 12:15

then he should cook the turkey at 12:15

Answer: He should start cooking the turkey at 12:55

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, to solve this problem we have to analyze the information given:

  • Turkey weight: 7kg

So, we have to follow the cooking instructions for over 4kg:

  • 20 minutes per kg + 90 minutes + 30 minutes (rest)

Now we have to multiply the weight of the turkey by the minutes per kg.

(20 x 7 )+90 + 30 = 260 min

260 minutes * 1hr/60 minutes = 4 hours 20 minutes

And finally, if he plans to carve the turkey at 17:15

17:15 -4:20 =12:55

He should start cooking the turkey at 12:55 .

ABCD ~ EFGH
vredina [299]

Answer:

FG = 20 in

Step-by-step explanation:

∵ ABCD ≈ EFGH

∴ AD/EH = BC/FG

∵ AD = 45 in

∵ EH = 60 in

∴ BC = 15 in

∴ 45/60 = 15/FG

∴ FG = (60 × 15) ÷ 45 = 20 in

If John has 20 marbles,10 red, 5 blue and 5 green.If his friend Jake took 2 marbles without looking and John took 1 what without
Nady [450]

Answer: probability of Jake took 2 reds marbles = 3/52

probability of John took 1 blue marble = 1/8

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay, I will assume in this problem that the sample is not replacement, which means after Jake took 2 marbles, he didn't put it back into the sample.

The total of the sample = 20 + 10 +5 +5

Probability of Jake took the 1st red marble is 10/40 because there are 10 marbles in a whole bag of 40 marbles. Once Jack picked the 1st red marble out, there are only 9 red marbles left, thus the probability of the 2nd red marble is 9/39.

=> probability of Jake took 2 reds marbles = (10/40) *(9/39) = 3/52

and it goes the same way for John, except we only need to find 1 blue marble so we don't have to multiply anything here.

=> probability of John took 1 blue marble = 5/40 = 1/8

A garden is in the shape of a rectangle 85m by 50m
Xelga [282]

Answer:

2890 sq. meters

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the whole garden is 85 x 50 = 4250 sq. meters. Since the flowers take up 32%, that means the grass must take up 100-32, or 68% of the garden. 68% of 4250 is 2890 sq. meters.

Hope this helped! :)
