The correct answer is A) The novel helped the abolitionist movement.

The abolitionist movement in America had the goal of ending the institution of slavery. The book Uncle Tom's Cabin helped to support this movement because the book discussed the horrible life of a slave in the US South. Even though this is technically a fiction book, it is based on the observations and experiences of Harriet Beecher Stowe who got a first hand look at how this institution worked in America.

7. Explain the controversy among Genie's team of doctors and researchers.
iragen [17]

The controversy among Genie's team of doctors and researchers is "based on how well to cater for Genie and how best to measure her responses to the treatment."

This is evident in the fact that many researchers and doctors wanted to examine Genie for various reasons.

Genie is a feral child whose case was popular in the 1970s when she broke free from isolation.

Some doctors and researchers seek to understand the psychological and psychiatric effects Genie has suffered.

Some believe she's used as a human guinea pig or lab rat.

Others believe her situation cannot be redeemed, given that her condition is difficult to evaluate.

Some researchers concluded that Genie's situation was just exploited for professional and financial gains.

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that Genie's situation is a delicate situation that made many doctors and researchers disagree on many practices.

What innovation enabled the Maya to adapt to their tropical environment and build a great civilization?
allochka39001 [22]
The main factor was the utilization of raised field agriculture. They would build these fields that had been artificially raised to a certain height along a flowing water source (mostly rivers but occasionally streams as well in some cases). When tropical weather patterns would cause said water sources to flood, instead of washing away the crops, it would act as irrigation for the raised fields. Securing a steady food source allowed the Mayans to support a large civilization in the tropical regions they called home.
