Answer:

well just search in google if someone did a lab and then copy the lab. But basically, yes it would. The pepper plant would either die or have to adapt to the acidic soil which it wouldn't be able to do. But have a control which has no acidity and then have three other plants with more acidity then the last and watch them grow.
