Answer:

The passage has been re written using same old sequence but added new words that can intensify the character of Mr Valentine

Explanation:

Suddenly at 8:00 a.m., the doorbell rang. Paul walked to the door to see who rang the bell. When he opened the door, he discovered a short heightened, withered, white-haired man staring up at him with piercing blue eyes.

"Mr. Candor?" the man said in a voice that was much larger than he was. The voice was like there were more men speaking behind him. He started at me and then the home as if he was some investigating agency agent. He was carrying a bag which looked like a tool bag to me

"Uh, no, sir. My father isn't home right now" replied Paul.

"Mr. Paul Candor is who I'm looking for," said the man. "Is that you?"

"Oh, yes, sir. That's me. You must be my tutor," said Paul.

"Yes, I'm Mr. Valentine. Let's get to work."
