Answer:

B). Context effects.

Explanation:

'Context effects' is demonstrated as the domain of cognitive psychology that lay emphasis on revealing the impact of environmental aspects in determining how an individual views or perceives a particular stimulus.

As per the question, 'context effect' is being illustrated through the portrayal of effect of environment(in the grocery store) on Sue Yen's inability to recognize her chemistry professor. She has always viewed her as a professor teaching in her class and thus, could not expect her to be at a grocery store. Therefore, the environmental changes have led her to this situation that exemplify the <u>'context effect'</u>. Thus, <u>option B</u> is the correct answer.

5. How might worldviews affect the way people feel about the land and its resources.
Sergio [31]

Answer:

The Anglo settlers and First Nations have different worldviews regarding resources like land and wildlife like the bison. For the First Nations these are shared resources and not property in either the colonial or later Canadian or American legal sense.

Explanation:

Different cultures have different worldviews on the way that land and resources are used. One example is the tension that continues to exist today between the Canadian government which represents the Anglo Canadian majority and the various First Nations. Treaty 6 for example is an agreement between the Canadian Crown and the Plains and Woods Cree as well as other bands. As one of 11 treaties signed in the 1870s with the First Nations who had faced decades of threats from smallpox and the dwindling supply of bison, Treaty 6 and others like it lay out the terms for the establishment of reserves where the First Nations would cede their lands to the Crown. They would gain rights of usage on crown lands that would at least in theory help to keep the lands freer from white anglo settler encroachment. The Indigenous representatives asked for access to medical supplies and on-reserve education, as well as basic protections from disease outbreaks and famine.  The First Nations did not have the same worldview on the possession of land as they viewed resources as something common and shared.

List three major trends in climate that scientists have documented so far. now list three future trends that they predict, along
mel-nik [20]

it is widely discussed that the weather conditions have been changing and affecting human beings and nature. Scientists have documented different trends as greenhouse effects, disturbance in the patterns of precipitation,   sea level rising, among others. All these climate trends have different effects on the environment such as increasing the average of earth temperature melting glaciers which makes the sea level to rise.

Although these trends have already been documented there are many predictions with their consecuenses for the same issues. For example, for the greenhouse gas concentrations the prdictions show that they will grow and make the oceans more acid and thearth humans life. On the other hand, patterns of precipitacion are expected to change from regions and seasons being the key global projection that the precipitations will increase the same as winds associated with storms. Finally, the sea level is expected to rise expanding the ocean water.

What was the social structure in the new Indian civilization? Why did reincarnation provide a good reason for this system?
kolezko [41]
The social structure was based on four castes: the  Brahmins, the Kshatriyas,(land owners) the Vaishas (workers such as merchants) and the Shudas(servants). These castes were hierarchical, that means that the Brahmans had the most power, etc. People would have rebelled against then, but reincarnation gave them hope that in the next life they could have a better caste, so reincarnation has helped to keep the caste system.

Hirschi's social control theory contends that if an individual's bond to conventional society is weak or broken, the individual
RSB [31]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Hirschi's social control theory is of the opinion that when an individual has strong ties to family, friends, school and other areas of the society, this reduces his inclination to deviant behavior. In this regard, it is therefore possible for everyone in the society to commit crimes. However, crime is avoided by those who maintain social bonds and family ties. Hence, once a ties are broken, the individual begins to commit crimes without any fear of consequence.
