The answer is 133. Just think that angle 2 and 6 are the same, they both equal to 47. Then now think angle 1 and 5 are the same. Since angle 2 is equal to 47 and the top part (angle 1&2) should equal to 180 since the whole thing is equivalent to 360 but you just really need the top which is half. 360/2=180. Anyways since u already know the angle 2. Subtract 47 to 180, it is 133 and this answer will be the measure of angle 1. Now, remember what I said in the beginning, think of angle 1 is the same measurement of angle 5. In conclusion, the measure of angle 1 and angle 5 are 133°

Answer:

∠ 5 = 133°

Step-by-step explanation:

∠ 1 and ∠ 2 are adjacent and supplementary, thus

∠ 1 = 180° - 47° = 133°

∠ 1 and ∠ 5 are corresponding and congruent, thus

∠ 5 = ∠ 1 = 133°

Given an equilateral triangle with two vertices located at (-8, -5) and (3, 7), what is its perimeter?
Oduvanchick [21]
An equilateral triangle has 3 sides of equal length
find the length of 1 side and that is the length of te other 2 sides
so find the length and times 3

we need to find the distance betwen the points (-8,-5) and (3,7)

distance between the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
D=\sqrt{(x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2}
so
distance between (-8,-5) and (3,7) is
D=\sqrt{(-8-3)^2+(-5-7)^2}
D=\sqrt{(-11)^2+(-12)^2}
D=\sqrt{121+144}
D=\sqrt{265}

the distance is √265
the perimiter is 3√265 units

If you know the rate of a water leak in gallons per hour, how can you find the number of hours it takes for 1 gallon to leak out
Evgen [1.6K]

1/the rate of leakage per hour

This will give you the time it takes for 1 gallon to leak out in hours.

For example, if something is leaking at the rate of 12 gallons per hour, it will take 1/12 of an hour for 1 gallon to leak out. ( or 5 min)

Your friend has a recipe book with 1000 recipes.she makes 2 new recipes each week. after 1 year, what fraction of the recipes ha
adoni [48]

After one year, the fraction of the recipe that she has not made is 896/1000 or 112/125

Fraction:

A fraction means the part of the whole thing.

For example, a pizza is divided into four equal pieces, then each piece is represented by ¼.

Given:

Your friend has a recipe book with 1000 recipes.

She makes 2 new recipes each week.

We need to find the fraction of the recipes has she not made after one year.

We know that,

1 year = 52 week

So, here they given that she will make 2 recipes per week.

So, in one year she will make

=> 2 x 52 = 104

So, the remaining recipes in the book is

=> 1000 - 104

=> 896

So, the fraction is

=> 896 / 1000

When we simplify it, then we get

To simplify, we need to find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) of 896 and 1000, if it exists, and reduce our fraction by dividing both numerator and denominator by it. GCF = 8, and getting our simplified answer:

=> 112 / 125

If 200% of 40% of x is equal to 40% of y, then x is what percent of y?
sp2606 [1]

Step-by-step explanation:

200÷100×40÷100× x = 40÷100 × y

2×0.4 × x = 0.4 × y

2x = y

x = y × 1÷2

x = y × 50%
