1. knowledge

The science has been crucial and detrimental for the development of the human societies. In search of the truth and knowledge about how everything works, the people have gradually developed lot of different scientific branches, which resulted in the explanation, and after that usage of the natural world. It has to be mentioned though that the science only explores the natural world, not the spiritual or supernatural one.

2. agriculture

The agriculture was what changed the living style of the humans forever. From being nomads that constantly moved in order to get enough food, the humans started to have settled lifestyle. This only happened because of the cultivation of certain plants, thus developing the agriculture, and producing surplus of food. Once the problem with the food supply was eliminated, the humans started to specialize in other things and develop civilizations.

3. live

The anthropology and psychology both have the same purpose, to help us understand the organization of the humans life. The difference between the tow is that the anthropology is based on the archaeology, and it tries to recreate and explain the human societies of the past. The psychology is based in the present, and it is examining and explaining the human lives nowadays, based on what is observed and studied directly.

4. scientific method

The scientists constantly try to solve some problems in their respective scientific fields, as there is always something that needs to be explained. this can not be done just like that, but instead there are numerous different scientific methods which are used as basis for the solving of a particular problem, and these methods are crucial for the end result to be correct.

5. academic publishing

When someone writes a paper that is based on science that has been performed by a certain scientific method, and it showed new and interesting results, it can not just go through and be published for the wider audience. Initially, the paper needs to be examined by professionals, and to be published in an academy if it is a correct one. Once this step is passed, than the paper can go on and have the basis to be published in a big and reputable scientific publication, thus to be presented to the wider audience.

6. living organisms

The biology is the scientific field that has its focus on studying the living organisms. This science studies all living organisms, be it one celled and very simple, or very large and complex ones, from bacteria, to flora and fauna. There are lot of subdivisions in the biology, and each of them focuses on something very specific, and this is in order so that the organisms can be studied as detailed as possible, and as good as possible.

7. reproduce

The organisms carry DNA in them, and the DNA is what defines their appearance and behavior. In order for this DNA to be passed onto the next generation, there's only one thing that an organisms should do, and that is to reproduce. Doesn't matter in which manner the reproduction is done, it always has the same purpose and same outcome, creation of offspring that carries the DNA of the parent or parents, thus continuing the existence of the species.

When the human body is subjected to prolonged starvation, cells use up all available glucose first, including glucose bound up i
olchik [2.2K]

The options are missing from the question. They are;

a. These enzymes are inhibited but not destroyed under conditions

of starvation since destroying them would require energy input.

b. These enzymes continue to be needed since catabolism of lipids

and proteins leads to intermediates that are oxidized through

these pathways.

c. Once enzymes are produced in a cell, they continue to function

for as long as the cell lives even if they are not used.

d. All catabolic enzymes are expressed when energy levels are low

in a cell, including enzymes that cannot oxidize the fuel

molecules that are available.

e. The cell continues to produce these enzymes in case glucose or

other carbohydrates become available again.

The correct answer to the question is option B

THESE ENZYMES CONTINUE TO BE NEEDED SINCE CATABOLISM OF LIPIDS AND PROTEINS LEADS TO INTERMEDIATES THAT ARE OXIFIZED THROUGH THESE PATHWAYS.

The enzymes involved in glycolysis are; hexokinase, phosphofructokinase, and pyruvate kinase.

The cell use Amino acids as energy source through the conversion of the amino acids that enter glycolysis or the citric cycle that are eventually catabolized to CO2 at various points through the help of their enzymes (fumarase) or (fumarase hydratase) speeding up the rate of the reaction.(pyrimidines).
