Find the cost of 4 quarts:

$ 6.99 [Cost of 1 quart] x 4 [Number of quarts] = $27.96 [Cost of 4 quarts]

Find the difference in price between 1 gallon and 4 quarts.

$ 27.96 [Cost of 4 quarts] - 20.99 [Cost of 1 gallon] = $ 6.97 [Difference]

One gallon of paint is less expensive than 4 quarts. The amount you save, $6.97, is just about the price of 1 quart of paint. When you buy the gallon, you get nearly 1 quart free.

Find out how many gallons to buy. Divide the total number of quarts needed by 4. This answer will tell Michael the number of gallons and quarts he needs.

10 ÷4 = 2 Gallons, 2 quarts

Two gallons and 2 quarts are equal to 10 quarts.

Find the cost.

$ 20.99 [Cost per gallon] x 2 = $41.98 [Cost of 2 gallons]

$ 6.99 [Cost per quart] x 2 = $13.98 [Cost of 2 quarts]

<span>$ 41.98 [Cost of 2 gallons] + 1 3.98 [Cost of 2 quarts] = $ 55.96 [Total cost]</span>

<span>10 individual quarts cost $69.90 vs $55.96</span>

<span>So answer is C/</span>2 gallons 2 quarts

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ALGEBRA QUESTION!! THANK YOU!!
lesantik [10]

Answer:

The first four terms of the sequence are: {-10,-23,-62,-179}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given recursive formula is:

a_n = 3a_{n-1}+7

First term = a1 = -10

The first term is already known. In order to find the next terms, we will put n=2,3,4 in the recursive formula.

Putting n=2

a_2 = 3a_{2-1}+7\\a_2 = 3a_1+7\\a_2 = 3(-10)+7\\a_2 = -30+7\\a_2 = -23

Putting n=3

a_3 = 3a_{3-1}+7\\a_3 = 3a_2+7\\a_3 = 3(-23)+7\\a_3 = -69+7\\a_3 = -62

Putting n=4

a_4 = 3a_{4-1}+7\\a_4 = 3a_3+7\\a_4 = 3(-62)+7\\a_4 = -186+7\\a_4 = -179

Hence,

The first four terms of the sequence are: {-10,-23,-62,-179}

Which three lengths CANNOT be the lengths of the sides of a triangle?
victus00 [196]
The set of sides that cannot be the sides of a triangle is set A.
The sum of two sides of a triangle must be longer than the third side, but 6 + 10 is less than 21, so it cannot be a triangle.

Hope this helps =)

balu736 [363]

Answer:

The draw in the attached figure

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

An office building has the shape of a right rectangular prism with a width 20 meters. length 40, height 60

so

The shape of one floor of the building is equal to the shape of the rectangular base of the prism

therefore

One floor of the building is a rectangle with

Length 40 m

Width 20 m
