hough many cities, and now states, have moved away from the use of single-use plastic bags and have banned them, there’s still a long way to go. If we want our land and waterways to be free of the litter and pollution caused from these petroleum-based products, the answer is very clear. Which sentence should Damian add to create the most effective conclusion?
It’s absurd that we have this problem when there is such an easy solution.

We need to take active steps and change our habits by using reusable bags instead.

Unfortunately, more than 100 million plastic grocery bags are still being thrown away every year.
