If the whole problem consists of the line y = x, then the only intercepts would be the vertical and the horiz. intercepts. In this case, these intercepts are the same: (0,0).

To see this, graph (0,0), and then draw the line y = x through it.

I don't believe there's any such word as "pointment."

Convert the function into intercept form. Show your work. y=-x^2+5x+36
UkoKoshka [18]
Y = -x2 + 5x + 36 → y = -(x2 -5x -36)

→ y = -(x2 - 9x +4x - 36)

→ y = -[x(x-9) + 4(x - 9)]

→ y = -(x - 9)(x + 4)

Your answer would be y=-(x-9)(x+4).

Answer:

In geometry, parallel lines are lines in a plane which do not meet; that is, two straight lines in a plane that do not intersect at any point are said to be parallel. Colloquially, curves that do not touch each other or intersect and keep a fixed minimum distance are said to be parallel.
