M=change in y/change in x
Finding gradient of the orginal line
=3+1/0-3
=-4/3
Since parallel lines are equal the other line would be -4/3 (gradient)
Sub (-3;2) into y=mx+c
2=-4/3 (-3)+c
2=4+5
2-4=c
-2 = c

Therefore sub all your info and you get y= -4/3x-2

Can u help me answer this I’m so stuck
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

I learned a great formula for repeating decimals.

OK! Let's get started. For each decimal spot that is recurring, it is put over a 9, rather than a 10.

In your case, 0.142 would be 142 over 3 9s.

142/999 cannot be simplified.

Therefore, 142/999 is our answer.

Since the repentant is over only one digit, we have to solve another way.

We can represent it as "x"

10x = 5.66.... - x = 0.56.....=5.1

9x = 51/10

51/10/9 = 51/90 = 17/30 as our answer.

We can solve this next one the same way:

100x = 3.44444 - x  = 3.41

999x = 341/100

341/100/999 = 31/900 as our answer.

Now! 1.52 can be solved the same way.

In doing so, we achieve the answer 151/99 as our answer

This one can be done the same way as well. I'll give you the answer, but next time try to solve it for yourself!

179/495 is our answer.

Now, you asked for 0.004 as a fraction.

That is equivalent to 4/999 as our answer.

Note: This is because each 0 can be counted as a 9, increasing in order. (i.e., over 100 is over 99 over 1000 is over 999 over 10 9)

Write a problem that includes multiplying decimals . Explain how you know where to place the decimal in the product.
loris [4]
Maya is making dream catchers with her family. Each dream catcher takes 1.53 feet of string. She has 6 people in her family. How much string does Maya need total?

1.53*6=9.18

You know where to put the decimal because you count how many places in the decimal is for the two numbers being multiplied (the only decimal in the two numbers being multiplied is in the number 1.53 and that’s is two places in) and then go that many places in on the product (918 two places in from then right would be 9.18)

Find the probability of exactly four successes in five trials of a binomial experiment in which the probability of success is 40
hodyreva [135]

Answer:

p(4 successes) ≈ 7.7%

Step-by-step explanation:

p(k successes in n trials) = C(n,k)·p^k·(1-p)^(n-k)

You have n=5, k=4, p=0.4, so the probability is ...

p(4 successes) = C(5,4)·(0.4)^4·(1 -0.4)^1 = 5·0.4^4·0.6 = 0.0768

p(4 successes) ≈ 7.7%
