Given parameters:

Perimeter of the court = 100m

Unknown:

Dimensions = ?

Solution:

let the width = w

Length is 16m more;

          Length = w + 16

Perimeter  = 2(L + w)

        100 = 2 (w + 16 +  w)

         100 = 2(2w + 16)

          100 = 4w + 32

              4w = 100 -32

               4w = 68

                   w = 17

So, length = w + 16  = 17 + 16 = 33m

The dimensions of the court are length 33m and width 17m

LenKa [72]

Answer:

$7.7 million

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: $6.8 million profit made by company.

           13% increase in profit every year.

Now, finding the company´s profit in the year of 2006.

As we know there is 13% increase in profit.

∴ Profit increase= \frac{13}{100} \times 6.8= \$ 0.884

Next adding company´s profit with increase in profit to get profit in the year 2006.

∴ 6.8+0.884= \$ 7.684 ≅ $7.7

The company´s profit in the year 2006 is $7.7 million.

Prove that angles opposite to equal sides of an isosceles triangle are equal.
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Take a triangle ABC, in which AB=AC.

Construct AP bisector of angle A meeting BC at P.

In ∆ABP and ∆ACP

AP=AP[common]

AB=AC[given]

angle BAP=angle CAP[by construction]

Therefore, ∆ABP congurent ∆ACP[S.A.S]

This implies, angle ABP=angleACP[C.P.C.T]
