Given parameters:

Perimeter of the court = 100m

Unknown:

Dimensions = ?

Solution:

let the width = w

Length is 16m more;

          Length = w + 16

Perimeter  = 2(L + w)

        100 = 2 (w + 16 +  w)

         100 = 2(2w + 16)

          100 = 4w + 32

              4w = 100 -32

               4w = 68

                   w = 17

So, length = w + 16  = 17 + 16 = 33m

The dimensions of the court are length 33m and width 17m
