Answer:

As explained below.

Explanation:

 • Sedimentary rocks that are formed due to the accumulation of sediments that are derived from the deposition of small particles and their cementation of minerals and organic particles in the seafloor by the impact of various geological and earth processes like the wind, water, and glacier erosion.
 • Earth's crust is covered by 73% of sedimentary rocks and about 8% of the total crustal surface. Based on their formation, these rocks are thus classified as Siliciclastic, Carbonate, Evaporite, Iron-rich, and Phosphatic sedimentary rocks.
 • The color of these rocks is always determined by the iron and oxide contents, their size texture is a result of the density and permeability of the rocks like in the case of sandstone and limestone.
 • The relationship between the plate tectonics and the earthquakes is explained through the seismic waves that travel; through the three-layer of the earth from core to mantle to crust.
 • Earthquakes are directly related to plate boundaries as these are areas where these waves come out in the form of shocks and shaking of lands thus we expect of seeing three types of boundaries as Convergent, Divergent and Transform.

How does the environment affect genetic factors and gene expression?
Leno4ka [110]

The gene expression of the organism may be affected by the environment. This includes the outside ecosphere where the entire creature and organism are situated or progresses, and also as the organism's interior ecosphere, these consist of the aspects of metabolism and hormones. Even though the structure of genes is unaffected by the environment, the gene expression (how the genes work) will be affected. Factors in the environment like drugs, foods, and toxins may result in some epigenetic changes by changing how the DNA bind by the molecules and the structure change of the proteins that the DNA wraps.

There are nearly 300 million passenger cars in the U.S. The average gas mileage is 25 MPG (miles per gallon) and each car is dri
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

1.0236 billion metric tons

Explanation:

Given Parameters

Number of cars = 300000000

Average gas mileage per car = 25 MPG

Average distance covered by a car in one year = 10000 miles

CO2 Emission = 8.53 kg/gallon

Derivations from the given parameters,

If the average gas mileage per car is 25 MPG, then the volume of fuel consumed by a car in a year is:

10000 miles ÷ 25 MPG = 400 gallons

The CO2 emission for one car in a year is:

400 gallons × 8.53 kg/gallon = 3412 kg or 3.412 metric tons (note: 1000 kg = 1 metric ton)

The CO2 emission for 300000000 cars in year is:

3.412 metric tons × 300000000 = 1023600000 kg = 1.0236 billion metric tons
