In your class, you have scores of 84, 95, 83, and 86 on the first four of five tests. To get a grade of Upper B, the averag

e of the first five tests scores must be greater than or equal to 80 and less than 90.
a.
Solve an inequality to find the least score you can get on the last test and still earn a Upper B.

a.  To get  a B grade the least average is 80.  That is a total of 5*80 = 400.

So if the least score is x we have;

84 + 95 + 83 + 86 + x ≥ 400

x ≥ 400 -  348

x ≥ 52

so the least score is 52

Given the point and slope write the equation of the line (-4, 0); slope = 1/2
Gwar [14]

Answer:

The equation of the line will be:

y=\frac{1}{2}x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the point

  • (-4, 0)
  • slope = m = 1/2

As the equation of a line in slope-intercept form is

y-y_1=m\left(x-x_1\right)

  • where m is the slope

substituting the values m = 1/2 and the point (-4, 0)

y-y_1=m\left(x-x_1\right)

y-0=\frac{1}{2}\left(x-\left(-4\right)\right)

y=\frac{1}{2}\left(x-\left(-4\right)\right)

y=\frac{1}{2}\left(x+4\right)

y=\frac{1}{2}x+\frac{4}{2}

y=\frac{1}{2}x+2

Therefore, the equation of the line will be:

y=\frac{1}{2}x+2

0.5 - Y - 5<br> -0.5x = y - 5<br> Х
Artemon [7]

Answer:

1 - 4y

Step-by-step explanation:

0.5 - Y - 5 -0.5x = y - 5

0.5 +5 -5 -0.5x = 2y

0.5 -2y = 0.5x

x = 0.5 - 2y /0.5

= 1 - 4y
