Answer:

It take 5 hours to prepare 900 bags of samples if Ashley and 5 of her friends do the work.

Step-by-step explanation:

1 person prepare 1 bag in 2 minutes

We are supposed to find How many hours will it take to prepare 900 bags of samples if Ashley and 5 of her friends do the work?

No. of persons = 6

Since 1 person 2 minutes to prepare 1 bag.

So, 6 persons prepare 6 bags in 2 minutes

6 persons prepare 1 bags in minutes =\frac{2}{6}

6 persons prepare 900 bags in minutes =\frac{2}{6} \times 900

                                                                   = 300 minutes

Now, 60 minute = 1 hour

So, 300 minutes = \frac{1}{60} \times 300

                            = 5 hours

Hence it take 5 hours to prepare 900 bags of samples if Ashley and 5 of her friends do the work.

30 hours because if there are 6 people working, each person will do 150 bags. it takes 300 minutes for each person to do 150 bags (150*2). it will take 1800 minutes for 6 people to do 900 bags (300*6). divide 1800 by 60 (minutes) and you get 30 hours

Identify an equation in slope intercept form for the line parallel to y= -2/3x+8 that passes through (4, -5)
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

3y = -2x -7

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of the line;

     y = -\frac{2}{3}x + 8

Unknown:

Equation of the line passing through (4, -5);

Solution:

To solve this problem;

    the equation of a line is given as;

        y = mx + c

where x and y are the coordinate

           m is the slope

          c is the intercept

To solve this problem,

  The slope  -\frac{2}{3} if the same as that of the new line since they are parallel;

Equation of the new line;

    x  = 4 and y = -5

     -5 =  -\frac{2}{3} x 4 + c

      -5 = -\frac{8}{3} + c

       c  = -5 + \frac{8}{3}

       c = -\frac{7}{3}

So, the equation of the line is;

    y =  -\frac{2}{3}x - \frac{7}{3}

 or ;

     3y = -2x -7

Six distinct integers are picked from the set {1, 2, 3,…, 10}. How many selections are there, in which the second smallest integ
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

1680 ways

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of integers = 10

Number of integers to be selected = 6

Second smallest integer must be 3. This means the smallest integer can be either 1 or 2. So, there are 2 ways to select the smallest integer and only 1 way to select the second smallest integer.

<u>2 ways</u>   <u>1 way</u>  <u>       </u>  <u>        </u>  <u>        </u>  <u>        </u>

Each of the line represent the digit in the integer.

After selecting the two digits, we have 4 places which can be filled by 7 integers. Number of ways to select 4 digits from 7 will be 7P4 = 840

Therefore, the total number of ways to form 6 distinct integers according to the given criteria will be = 1 x 2 x 840 = 1680 ways

Therefore, there are 1680 ways to pick six distinct integers.
