First, calculate the reduction of the price
reduction = normal price - sale price
reduction = 57 - 41.6
reduction = 15.4
The price decreased £15.4

Second, change the reduction of the price into percentage
percent = reduction/normal price × 100%
percent= \frac{15.4}{57}\times100%
percent= \frac{15.4\times100}{57}%
percent= \frac{1540}{57}%
percent = 27.01%

The percentage reduction is 27.01% or approximately 27%

Tickets to a movie cost $7.25 for adults and $5.50 for students a group of friends purchased 8 tickets for $52.75 how many adult
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

The number of adults tickets and student tickets purchased is 5 and 3.

Given that,

Tickets to a movie cost $7.25 for adults and $5.50 for students.

A group of friends purchased 8 tickets for $52.75.

Here we assume the no of adult tickets and no of student tickets be x and y.

Based on the above information, the calculation is as follows:

7.25x + 5.50y = 52.75 .............(i)

x + y = 8

x = 8 - y..................(2)

Now put the x value in the equation (1)

So,

7.25(8-y) + 5.50y = 52.75

7.25 × 8 - 7.25y + 5.50y = 52.75

58 - 1.75y = 52.75

5.25 = 1.75y

y = 3

So,

x = 8 - 3

= 5

Therefore we can conclude that the number of adults tickets and student tickets purchased is 5 and 3.

Which value for k makes the equation 42 ÷ k = 14 true? Select all that apply. A. 588 B. 62 C. 1452 D. 3 E. 23
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

What divided by 42 equals 14? In other words, you have an unknown number (X), and then if you divide that X by 42 you get 14. Then what is that X? The equation to calculate what divided by 42 equals 14 is as follows: X/42 = 14 Where X is the answer. When we solve the equation by multiplying each side by 42, you get get:

X = 588

The diagram shows a vertical tower DC on a horizontal ground ABC.
sasho [114]
The measure of ABD=180°- 54°=26°
and then the measure of ADB= x
and x + 26° + 28°= 180°, sum of anlgle in a triagle property
 it means x= 180°- 26-28=126°
application of sinus law in the triangle

sin 28 / BD = sin 126/ AD = sin 26/ 25 so we can deduce that

AD= 25sin126 / sin26= 46.12
let 's consider the triangle ADC, so for finding h, we have sin 28 = h / AD
and then h = AD x sin28=21.65

<span>Calculate the height of the tower is 21.65</span>
