1. What can you infer from this dialogue from the diary of anne frank, act 1?

English

1. Anne is outgoing, Peter is shy.

In the dialogue Anne invites Peter but Peter says he's a lone wolf. This shows that Anne wants to be around others, while Peter prefers to stay by himself because of his shy nature.

2. "I've got to fight the things out for myself!"

In this piece of dialogue, Anne is showing that she is still trying to figure out the world on her own and make her own decisions. She does not want someone intervening on her behalf.

3. "I spend half my night shushing her."

It is clear from this piece of dialogue that Mr. Dussel is becoming frustrated with the idea that he has to stay up at night and shows the conflict between them growing.

4. Anne states will go to Paris or be a famous dancer and the audience knows she will not get a chance to do these things.

Dramatic irony is when the audience knows something the characters on stage do not. In this case, the audience knows that Anne will not survive the Holocaust and therefore not be able to go to Paris or become a dancer.

5. Unbearable

Peter is a quiet observant child. He is not hurtful or purposefully unfriendly. He can be unbearable in Anne's opinion sometimes.

Which statement are written in passive voice ?
nlexa [21]

Answer:

the easiest way to identify passively voice is by checking out your verbs. choice A has "fought," choice B has "brought," choice C has "was filled," and choice D has "inspired." choices A, B, and D are all in active voice--the verb moves the action forward, and the subjects perform the listed verbs. the firefighters fight, the acrobats bring joy, the teacher inspires. choice C, however, has "was filled." rather than saying "the concerned citizens filled the town hall" (active voice, where the verb directly applies to the citizens and states the action the citizens are performing), it gives you a roundabout sentence. "the town hall was filled" instead gives the verb, which SHOULD apply to the citzens, to the town hall. C is the choice which uses passive voice.

Read a text trailer from the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
pshichka [43]

Answer:

• however, on his 11th birthday, he learns from a mysterious stranger, Rubeus Hagrid, that he’s actually a famous wizard

Explanation:

Hello. You did not present the trailer to which this question refers, which makes it difficult for it to be answered accurately. However, we can recognize a narrative hook in the option presented above.

The narrative hook is a literary technique that allows the story to present a transforming moment, which will modify the life and the trajectory of the main character, presenting a completely unexpected moment. The hook is added in a story to surprise and attract the reader's attention, leaving the reader curious about what will happen.

In the answer options presented in the question above, we can see that Harry lived a very monotonous and not very exciting life, until Hagrid finds him and tells him that he is a very famous wizard. This is an unexpected moment, of great impact and that will change Harry's life. This makes us identify these moments as a narrative hook.
