Methods for solving a system of equations:
- elimination
- substitution
- augmented matrix
Ranks of method ( number one being the most preferred method)
1) elimination
2) substitution
3) augmented matrix
Elimination is my preferred method because it is simple and easy to work out and hard to get wrong.
Augmented matrix is my least preferred method because it is easy to get wrong and it requires complex steps to solve a simple equation.
Hope this helps ;)
Answer:
With $1 you can buy 50 Tootsie rolls, and 20 Peppermint Patties.
Step-by-step explanation:
100 divided by 2 = 50
100 divided by 5 = 20
6 vertices. Vertices are the points where the sides meet (corners). There are 3 on top and 3 on bottom.
Answer:
y = x² + 3x
Step-by-step explanation:
y = (x * x) + (3 * x)
y = x² + 3
4(x + 3) ≤ 0 OR 1/4(x+ 1) > 3
4(x + 3) ≤ 0
Simplify.
4x + 12 ≤ 0
Subtract 12 from both sides.
4x ≤ -12
Divide both sides by 4.
x ≤ - 3
1/4(x + 1) > 3
Simplify.
1/4x + 1/4 > 3
Subtract 1/4 from both sides.
1/4x > 3 - 1/4
Simplify.
1/4x > 2 3/4
Multiply both sides by 4.
x > 11/4 × 4
Simplify.
x > 11
So, our first equation had x ≤ -3 and our second equation had x > 11
Which one is greater?
x > 11 is greater
