We notice that 2nd and 3rd line are equal to -14
therefor
6x+6y+5z=−146x+6y+5z=1x+4y+2z=−141x+4y+2z=−14

look at that
6x+6y+5z=-146x+6y+5z
minus (6y+5z) from both sides
6x=-146x
the only value of x that works is if x=0

x=0
cool
now we can get rid of all x

now we have
2y+7z=2y+7z=22
6y+5z=6y+5z=−14
4y+2z=4y+2z=−14

much nicer

lets see
2y+7z=22 and 6y+5z=-14

so multiply 2y+7z=22 by -3 and ad to to other euqaiotn
6y+5z=-14
<u>-6y-21z=-66 +</u>
0y-16z=-80

-16z=-80
divide both sides by -16
z=5

sub back
2y+7z=22
2y+7(5)=22
2y+35=22
minus 35 both sides
2y=-13
divide both sides by 2
y=-6.5

x=0
y=-6.5
z=5

solution
(0,-6.5,5)

mezya [45]
The 2 equations are
18.20x+19.50y=230.10
and
x+y=12
where x is the months of original cost and y is months for new cost. Since you know that you paid for one year (12 months) you can make the second equation. Then you want to substitute the first equations x by making the second equation
x=(12-y)
18.20(12-y)+19.50y=230.10
218.40-18.20y+19.50y=230.10
1.30y=11.70
y=9
so that means you had the original rate for 3 months and the new one for 9 months

Hello!

Assuming that AC contains the points we are given, we will look at both values. We can see that both x values are the same, -2, so this is a vertical line segment. Therefore we need to find the difference between our y-values.

Therefore, the distance is 4 units.

I hope this helps!

The range of y will be all real numbers such that 0≤y≤40

The complete question is:

Raj’s bathtub is clogged and is draining at a rate of 1.5 gallons of water per minute. The table shows that the amount of water remaining in the bathtub, y, is a function of the time in minutes, x, that it has been draining. What is the range of this function? all real numbers such that y ≤ 40 all real numbers such that y ≥ 0 all real numbers such that 0 ≤ y ≤ 40 all real numbers such that 37.75 ≤ y ≤ 40

<h3>What is inequality?</h3>

The relation between two expressions that are not equal, employing a sign such as ≠ ‘not equal to’, > ‘greater than, or < ‘less than.

Raj’s bathtub is clogged and is draining at a rate of 1.5 gallons of water per minute.

The amount of water remaining in the bathtub = y

The function of  time in minutes, that it has been draining = x

At 0 minutes the amount of water is 40 gallons.

The highest volume of water is 40 which is decreasing at the rate of 1.5 gallons per minute.

The given function is a linear function

y = 0

However, the volume of water can be 0 but cannot ever be negative.

Therefore the range of y will be all real numbers such that 0≤y≤40
