Answer:

Solving for x. Want to solve for y instead?

1 Factor out the common term 44.

4(7x+8y)=884(7x+8y)=88

2 Divide both sides by 44.

7x+8y=\frac{88}{4}7x+8y=

4

88

3 Simplify \frac{88}{4}

4

88

to 2222.

7x+8y=227x+8y=22

Explain why the graphing calculator cannot be used to solve or approximate solutions to all polynomial equations.
Lelu [443]
Let's put it this way: If you plot a few non-x-intercept points and then draw a curvy line through them,you will not know if you got the x-intercepts even close to being correct. The only way you can be sure of your x-intercepts is to set the quadratic equal to zero and solve. So its a matter of guessing from the pictures. Basicaly said, the calculator won't give you the exact result.

Answer:

AB = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the line is horizontal then its length is the difference of the x- coordinates, that is

X+y=6 does this show direct variation?

y-x=0 does this show direct variation?
andrew11 [14]
X + y = 6 does NOT demonstrate direct variation, because the graph of this line does not go through the origin (0,0).

y-x=0, or y=1x, DOES demo direct var. The graph goes through the origin.
