The male and female reproductive systems in an organism differ by the type of gamete they make. The male reproductive system makes sperm, whereas the female reproductive system makes ovum. The number of sperms made are very large in number compared to the number of ovum or eggs made by the females. Also the eggs are present in the ovaries of the females by birth, whereas the male reproductive system has to mature in age to start producing sperms. These are some of the key differences between the male and the female reproductive systems.
