Throughout his whole life, he believed in an absolute monarchial rule, which according to him was the only true form of government. He always argued about it in this work. His philosophy also known as the central tenet of Hobbes includes natural philosophy according to which Human being is a selfish creature and can go beyond any extent to fulfill their desire.  

He stated that there no such thing like human natural state and moral beliefs. The human changes their nature as per the situation like they show politeness at the time of need and anger at the time of avoidance.
