Explain three ways print media and television media covered the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon differently.

Print media covered the story in reports that appeared after the fact. The newspaper became an historical document that captured a moment in time whereas television covered the Moon landing live as it occurred. People experienced the Moon landing by watching it on television, and they commemorated it by reading and keeping the headlines from the paper the next day.

Newspapers covered the story objectively and matter-of-factly through journalistic reports that simply informed the reader of the progress and the events as they occurred. Television news presented the story in a more entertaining and personal way. With anchor personalities like Walter Cronkite, who expressed an obvious enthusiasm for the space program and let his emotions show when he shouted “Go baby go” at the launch of the mission, people received a more biased view.

Television provided people with a sense of unity that newspapers could not. As people gathered around television sets and shared in the experience, they unified in a common goal. Newspaper articles printed after the fact could not incite this type of belonging and social connection.

The following are some of the portrayals of the Apollo 11 mission by the print and television media:

On September 16, 1962, the date Armstrong's selection as an astronaut was announced, his parents were flown to New York to appear on the television game show I've Got a Secret<span>. After their secret was guessed, host </span>Garry Moore<span> commented "Wouldn't it be something if your son were the first man on the moon?" The episode has been shown on </span>Game Show Network<span> although Armstrong himself never saw it until his biographer brought him a copy of the tape.
</span>

The Apollo 11 mission is used as part of the main story line in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The movie described the mission, indeed the reason for the Apollo program's existence, as a means to investigate a meteor crash on the dark side of the moon, which turns out to be the Ark, the space vessel carrying one of the Autobots, Sentinel Prime. Buzz Aldrin has a brief cameo in the film, playing himself.

The Apollo 11 mission, and more specifically the moment Neil Armstrong stepped onto the Moon's surface, plays a crucial role in the Doctor Who episode "Day of the Moon". The Doctor is shown altering wiring inside the Command Module on the launch pad, and video of the mission launch is also shown, the purpose being to put a short clip of a post-hypnotic suggestion into the most watched piece of footage in history to help the human race defend themselves from the Silence, 'memory-proof' aliens.

Which two sentences use coordinate adjectives?
taurus [48]

The two sentences that use coordinate adjectives are "The dark, musty cellar..." and "The dark-haired, hazel-eyed baby...", options A and C as explained below.

<h3>What are coordinate adjectives?</h3>

First, we must remember that adjectives are words that modify nouns by giving them a quality. Examples of adjectives are:

  • Beautiful
  • Smart
  • Silly
  • Hot

Coordinate adjectives are adjectives that have the same importance in the sentence and that modify the same noun. They appear in a row and are separated by a comma. Since they have the same importance, their places can be swapped without harming the meaning of the sentence.

That is the case with options A and C. There is a comma separating the adjectives "dark" and "musty" in letter A, and "dark-haired" and "hazel-eyed" in letter C. In both cases, the adjectives can be swapped without any problems.
