If the ratio is 6:7 the students should divide nicely into 6+7=13 parts.  Six of those parts are girls, seven of those parts are boys.

364 / 13 = 28

So 6 × 28 = 168 girls

Answer: 168

Check:

7 × 28 = 196 boys

168 + 196 = 364, good

Answer:

168

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of girls to boys = 6:7

Total number of students = 364

Therefore, number of girls is given by

\frac{6}{6+7}\times\text{Total number of students}

Thus, we have

\frac{6}{6+7}\times364\\\\=\frac{6}{13}\times364\\\\=6\times28\\\\=168

Hence, number of girls = 168

The sum of two numbers it 226. their differences is 200. what are the numbers?
jekas [21]
<span>To get the bigger number, divide by 2 the sum of the given sum of the numbers and their difference. In this case-
(226 + 200)/2 = 426/2 = 213.
To get the smaller number, divide by 2 the difference of the given sum of the numbers and their difference. In this case -
(226 - 200)/2 = 26/2 =13.
The two numbers are 213 and 13.
The bigger number is 213</span>

Find the slope between the following points, show all work.<br> (-8, 19) and (-3, 13)
Ymorist [56]
Slope formula:

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
m = (13-19)/(-3-(-8))
m = (13-19)/(-3+8)
m = -6/5

The slope is therefore -6/5
