• The Great Compromise, creating a bicameral Congress
 • The 3/5ths Compromise, making slaves count as 3/5ths of a person

In 1842, Queen Pomare IV agreed to designate Tahiti as a French protectorate supported by the French military but it was not unt
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Researchers claim that human migration to Southeast Asia began in 4000 BC and Tonga and Samoa was settled by 1300 BC. Captain Samuel Wallis was the first documented explorer to discover the island of Tahiti.

Captain James cook also made his first trip to Tahiti in April 1769 and made the first map of the island illustrations of flora and fauna. The British and French missionaries arrived at the islands in 1800s and it started rivalry between France an Britain to gain control of the islands.

Tahiti was ruled by native Pomare Family until December 29, 1880. In 1880 The french reached an agreement with the Queen's son, Pomare Fifth and purchased lands.

They transformed the protectorate into officially recognised colony. It was reconstituted as French overseas territory and was named French Polynesia. It gained autonomy in 1977 and became an overseas country of the French Republic on February 12, 2004.

Who were the first victims of american imperialism?
Papessa [141]
The first true victims of American Imperialism were the Native Americans. As settlers slowly pushed West, native peoples were killed, forced out, or forced to assimilate into White American culture. Land would be set aside to "house" these many peoples, but even that would soon be settled. Native lands were slowly chipped away until they look as we see them. Many groups went from hundreds of thousands of miles of territory to a few hundred acres. Sometimes the land they were "given" wasn't even in their ancestral homeland, but thousands of miles away. Around the same time Americans would rob many Mexicans of the lands that they had settled and farmed for generations.
