Norfolk, Virginia, is a city that unfortunately became the prime example as to how the climate changes can have a negative impact on the coastal regions. Norfolk is very vulnerable because it is located right on the coast, has very low altitude, is in an area where there's strong seasonal storms, and on top of it the land is sinking. As the sea levels rise, Norfolk is constantly under danger of getting flooded, and the sinking land is just making it worse because it makes the margin between the land and the sea is decreasing. Any major disturbance will most certain mean that Norfolk will be submerged under water and destroyed.
