Founded in 1960, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee advocated for civil rights. The March of Washington and how they prepared and collaborated to achieve their goal on August 28, 1963 shows what they have done for the Civil Rights Movement. The march was meant to advocate for greater rights of African Americans.
