The Bermuda Triangle is roughly defined by Hamilton, Bermuda; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The distances

from Hamilton to Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan, and San Juan to Hamilton are approximately 1028, 1046, and 965 miles, respectively. Ignoring curvature of Earth, approximate the area of the Bermuda Triangle to the nearest square mile.

Answer:

442554 square miles

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a triangle is given by :

0.5*A*B*Sin(∅) where A and B are two sides and ∅ is the angle between them.

We will find ∅ by applying cosine rule:

c^2 = a^2 + b^2 − 2ab cos(∅)

Where ∅ is angle between sides a and b.

In this example:

a=1028, b=1046, c= 965

Plugging in the values, we get ∅=55.4°

Applying the formula for Area:

0.5*A*B*Sin(∅)

0.5*1028*1046*Sin(55.4)= 442554 square miles

Kamila [148]

Answer:

Length: 19 feet

Width: 10 feet

Area: 190 feetx^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a question about ratio.

Length: let x be the actual length.

15.2 : x = 4 : 60

x = 19

Width: let y be the actual width.

8 : y = 4 : 60

y = 10

Area: A = xy

19 * 10 = 190

Answers this for me plzzz really quickly????
poizon [28]

It is not A or C, and D isn't specific enough (over what amount of time? is it flying up? down? It is going forward at the same height?) The most likely thing to stay consistent is the cost of fabric and it's length.

Say 1 foot of fabric is $3 (assuming there's no discount for additional feet, but math isn't that consistent with actual store sales), then 2 is $6, and 3 is $9.  That is a constant rate of change.

The length and width of a rectangle are 7 cm and (x-8) cm respectively. Find the value of x if the area of the rectangle is 42 c
soldi70 [24.7K]
Given length l=7
         width w=x-8
          area=42
area=wl
42=7(x-8)
42=7x-56
7x=98
x=98/7
x=14
