General elections provide voters only two choices between the two political parties, whereas through presidential primary they enter the political process. Parties will define whom they will select to run for the president. The main purpose of the presidential primary is to know how the political parties would choose their candidates.

Further Explanation:

In the American political system, the presidential nomination is one of the key elements. It is generally unpredictable. The early nominations of the president didn’t involve the primaries. It is the invention of 1970s. There was widespread confusion regarding the election process and procedures. Some states follow primary elections, some follow caucuses and others use both the methods. North Dakota was the first state of the United States to hold a presidential primary in 1912.

The delegates are chosen for each state called as pledged delegates. If no candidate secures absolute majority then “Brokered Convention” occurs and all the delegates are released and second round takes place till they get a winner. When staggered presidential primary season occur resources are concentrated in one area rather than the whole country and campaigning occur only one time.

It is not a question that can be addressed empirically. The word "empirical" specify information expanded by means of remark, knowledge, or experimentations. Empirical questions are not responded by remark. They are responded by the clarification of observations.

knowing about the effects of the perceived distance of objects on their perceived size helps us to understand the moon illusion.
tester [92]

Knowing about the effects of the perceived distance of objects on their perceived size can help us understand the moon illusion.

What is the moon illusion?

The moon illusion refers to an optical illusion in which the Moon looks bigger when it's rising or setting and smaller when it is high in the sky. Photographs have proven that the Moon is the same width near the horizon as when it's high in the sky. However, that isn't what we perceive with our eyes. Therefore, it's an illusion that is rooted in the way our brains process visual information.

Many different explanations were offered for this immensely powerful real-world illusion over the centuries. Today, the explanation for this illusion is still debated.
