Analgesics are medications that are used in the world for pain relief. Different types of analgesics can be found according to their mechanism of action and the type of pain that the patient presents. The lowest analgesics are paracetamol, being among them, like acetaminophen, being its most common use in pediatrics, for acute fevers. Another line of analgesics are antispasmodics, which are used for pain that occur in the viceras (renal colic, menstrual colic, among others), such as Hyoscine. On a third level is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as naproxen.
