It would be .43, rounded. You get this answer by taking all of the 10th graders (14) and looking at how many prefer sporting events (6). Then, you simply form a decimal from 6/14, and that comes out to .428, and .43 rounded up. I hope this helps! :)

sesenic [268]

Answer:

4 \cot {}^{2} (45) - 3 \tan {}^{2} (60) + 2 \sec {}^{2} (60) = 3 \\

LHS = 4 \cot {}^{2} (45)  - 3 \tan {}^{2} (60)  + 2 \sec {}^{2} (60)  \\

let us first take a look at the values of the trigonometric ratios given in the question so that we get quite clear about what is to be done.

here ,

\cot(45) = 1 \\ \\ \tan(60) = \sqrt{3} \\ \\ \sec(60) = 2

now ,

we just have to plug in the values considering certain other things given in the question and we're done!

so let's start ~

4(1) {}^{2} - 3( \sqrt{3} ) {}^{2} + 2(2) {}^{2} \\ \\ \dashrightarrow \: 4(1) - 3(3) + 2(4) \\ \\ \dashrightarrow \: 4 - 9 + 8 \\\\ \dashrightarrow \: 12 - 9 \\ \\\dashrightarrow \: 3 = RHS

hence , proved ~

hope helpful :D

You cannot find the area of parallelogram ABCD without providing information or any numbers of units. It is therefore impossible to solve without further information or an image.

A month ago, the ratio of nurses to doctors on a hospital staff was 3:5. Since that time, two additional nurses joined the staff
bija089 [108]

Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of nurses to docters a month ago was 3:5. Now, it's 4:5. You can tell that there aren't 4 nurses because 3 => 4 is only one nurse. If you duplicate both ratios (multiply both sides by 2), you get 6:10 (for a month ago) and 8:10 (now). This is correct because 6+2=8. Hope it helps!

Lizzie measured the length of a trail near her house. She discovered that her measurement had a margin of error of 0.0005 mile.
Scorpion4ik [409]

Complete question:

Lizzie measured the length of a trail near her house. She discovered that her measurement had a margin of error of 0.0005 mile. Which of the following could be the measured length of the trail?

A. 9.3 miles

B. 9.2549 miles

C. 9.254 miles

D.9.25 miles

Answer:

  • <u><em>B. 9.2549 miles</em></u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Measurements are subject to errors. Hence, when you make a measurement you must report it along with the error.

In this case, <em>Lizzie discovered that her measurement had a margin of error of 0.0005 mile.</em>

That means that the error of the measure is in the fourth decimal digit.

The measurement is supposed to be certain until the third decimal digit and the fourth digit would be uncertain.

The rule is that measures are reported with one uncertain digit.

Therefore, the <em>measured length</em> should contain 4 decimal digits, which means that , from the answer choices the measured length should be 9.2549 miles.

The measure should be reported as 9.2549 miles ± 0.0005 mile, meaning the the fourth decimal is uncertain. The uncertanity of the measure is 0.0005 mile.
