How did the German government under the Nazi rule build support among the German people?
Wewaii [24]

Answer:

Hitler had become massively popular through intense rallies and promises of a greater Germany.

Explanation:

He had started the Autobahn Project in his early career when Germany was facing the Great Depression. This employed many citizens to work on the first highway system in the World. He had also implemented Health care and Welfare programs in Germany. In 1936 he had also shown the power of this new Germany to the World in the Berlin Olympics by creating a massive stadium still used today and bringing back Athenian-Olympic traditions. Later he would successfully incorperate Austria, Sudetenland, Memel, etc into Germany.

What was Operation Desert Storm? How did it affect the country? What did it achieve?
timurjin [86]

Answer:

  1. The Atlantic mentions that Operation Desert Storm was carried out by George H.W. Bush and was "a military operation to expel occupying Iraqi forces from Kuwait, which Iraq had invaded and annexed months earlier." It was America's first military conflict since the Vietnam war, which is why it's so important.
  2. NY Times states that "The gulf crisis hurt consumer confidence and snagged business spending on new plant and equipment. The slide into recession, together with the steep costs of bailing out the savings and loan associations, deepened the Federal budget deficit," meaning that the economy in the United States was affected negatively.
  3. NY Times also states that Operation Desert Storm "cost the United States and its allies $60 billion and helped set off an economic recession caused in part by a spike in oil prices. For that war, the allies picked up almost 80 percent of the bill." The United States liberated Kuwait as a result.

What were some techniques and effects that the archeologists in the 1900s used in the Egyptian Mummy projectt, and how do these
Semenov [28]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

In the past, archeologists used basic elements to dig the soil and start the excavations. Let's have in mind that the first Egyptian discoveries were made by the Napoleonic troops during their campaigns in North Africa, specifically, Egypt.

Then, archeologists from France and later Britain visited the zone to start their excavations projects based on the information, codes, and maps collected in those years.

It was until some French discovered the Rosetta Stone, close to Rosseta, Egypt, that archeologists could decipher the Egyptian hieroglyphs. This allowed a full interpretation of the Egyptian scripture and made archeologists locate sites such as the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens in Luxor, Egypt. Places, where most of the tombs, have been found.

Once there, archeologists hired many people to start excavations and that is basically how they found the tombs and the mommies.

The Egyptian mummy project used CAT scans, a forensic technique to collect information about the gender and time of the mummies.

Modern-day techniques and state of the art technology have increased the finding of new discoveries in Egypt. We are talking about Computer Tomography or CT. It is a non-invasive technique that allows scientists and archeologists to study mummies and get valuable information because it uses a scanner that provides three-dimensional information without affecting the mummy.
