Well i would have to say the first author was writing about how the character having an unlucky life. The second author was writing about how the character was going to place to place but also was unlucky. So what the two authors writing have in common both of the main characters were both unlucky.

However, Cugoano is much more explicit about the horrors of slavery, calling it “horrid” and “brutal,” while Sancho says only that he was “unlucky.”
