When it comes to organizing your thoughts, there are many different ways to do that. In the example passage above, it uses the "Problem and Solution" as its pattern. <em>This type of pattern starts with presenting the problem/issue that is troubling a situation and then it is followed by solutions or remedy to the problem.</em>
The passage above starts by talking about the <u>food-born microbes</u> and how they can be passed from one situation to another through varying vectors. This is followed by the diseases that people can contract once it spreads. In this sense, it clearly shows the problem. It is then followed by solution <em>(how they should cook, separate, chill and clean food) </em>on how the consumers can protect themselves against the illnesses brought by the food-born microbes.
