A person can't <span>really tell you whether the ACT or SAT is easier because it depends on your skills. It depends on what you find easier and what you find difficult. You can't really ask someone on this type of stuff because it depends on your skills on the skill that is being taught! But according to some people I know they think the ACT is easier. </span>

Estimate 17.26+4.556 by first rounding each number to the nearest tenth. I need help
ANEK [815]

Answer:

21.9

Step-by-step explanation:

When rounding to the nearest tenth, we are rounding to 1 decimal place.

If the number in the hundredth place is 5 or more, we round up.

If the number in the hundredth place is less than 5, we round down.

17.26 rounded to the nearest tenth is 17.3

as 6 is in the hundredth place, so we round 2 tenths up to 3 tenths.

4.556 rounded to the nearest tenth is 4.6

as 5 is in the hundredth place, so we round 5 tents up to 6 tenths.

Therefore, 17.3 + 4.6 = 21.9

Answer:

• Formular for length:

length =  \sqrt{ {(x _{1}  - x  _{2}) }^{2}  +  {(y_{1} - y_{2})}^{2} }

• from points given, x1 is -5, x2 is -5, y1 is -3 and y2 is -6:

• substitute:

length =  \sqrt{ { \{ - 5 - ( - 5) \}}^{2}  +  { \{ - 3 - ( - 6) \}}^{2} }  \\  \\ length =  \sqrt{ {0}^{2} +  {3}^{2}  }  \\  \\ length =  \sqrt{ {3}^{2} }  \\  \\ { \boxed{ \boxed{ \:  \: length = 3 \: units \:  \: }}}
