Answer:

Option B is correct.

Explanation:

A rainforest, as its name implies, contains a great number of trees and vegetation. Each tree releases a great daily amount of water to the atmosphere through the transpiration process.

Transpiration occurs when the water stored in the tree, is released through the leaves, this water is then evaporated and rises to the atmosphere as water vapor, which then can fall back as rain.

The lack of trees, vegetation, and humidity in a desert make this process nearly impossible. Therefore, the few plants living in the desert use different methods to keep themselves hydrated.

Answer:

Explanation:

There are many way that the vocanic eruption in japan have an impact on Canada. ONe of them is finacially, with all the damage done in Japan the country would have to spend millions to restore what has been destroyed. With this said Canada is ocean neighbors with Japan so all of the debris from japan would cross over to B.C. therefore the Canadian government would have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to clean up what has washed up on the shores. Also since canadiasn are so empathetic, they would most likely donate money to aid the Japanese, adding to the cost.

in 1990, world rice production was 350 million tons. in 1999 it had risen to 400 million tons . what was the percentage increase
larisa [96]
In 1990 rice production= 350 million tons

In 1999 rice production = 400 million tons

400-350= 50 million ton increase

50/350=.1428   To calculate the percentage increase you divide the total amount increased by the initial amount to determine the percent.

Therefore the world rice production increased by approximately 14% from 1990 to 1999.
