What is the relationship between studying animal disease and protecting humans

I’d say the relationship is that when studying animal diseases you’d be protecting people bye discovering ways to treat said disease

Animal diseases have the power to evolve to be able to effect humans in the future. Also testing the disease and knowing how it works may be better than finding out from a human and allowing it to spread.
