The primary characteristic of a feudal society is the exchange of land for services.
The overlord will grant the vassal a land in exchange for the vassal's services. Services like fighting beside the lord in terms of war. Vassals have their own men and since the vassal is at the service of the overlord, his men is also at the service of the overlord.
The 9th Amendment was put there in order to guarantee that the government would not infringe natural rights just because they weren't already mentioned in the Constitution. Free speech, freedom of religion, and self-defense are natural rights, and if they hadn't already been mentioned, they would be guaranteed by this amendment.
<span>It is interesting to think of other rights which this amendment guarantees. For instance, the right to eat or ingest whatever we choose. The right to bear children. The right to travel freely on public lands. The right to keep the fruits of our labor. The right to privacy. The right to pursue any occupation we desire, without hindrance. The right to barter in trade. The right to seek any medical treatment we choose. </span>
<span>This is a very valuable amendment, and one which stands in our defense against all kinds of possible abuses by government.</span>
Exodusters was a name given to African Americans who migrated from states along the Mississippi River to Kansas in the late nineteenth century, as part of the Exoduster Movement or Exodus of 1879. It was the first general migration of blacks following the Civil War.
Slavery first began in the Jamestown colony because the colonists were making their money off of planting and growing crops like tobacco and wanted the help from more people(slaves). They mainly used slaves from Africa because their home was far away so it would be hard for them to run away back home.
It was an agreement to support the old order.
