Apparently, Roosevelt was genuinely looking for a new way of doing foreign policy with the Latin American countries. That is why the expropriation of the foreign oil industry assets ordered by the government of its neighbor country, Mexico, in 1938, did not meet significant opposition from the White House. Other signs of the good will of Roosevelt with Latin America was his state visit to Monterrey, Mexico, in 1943, to meet president Avila Camacho and discuss mutual assistance of World War II, and also, the respect shown by the U.S. government when it accepted not to send armed personnel to guard a number of radar stations on the Pacific Ocean coast of Mexico since it would have meant a serious violation of the Mexican Constitution. Roosevelt himself publicly announced he would give up Theodore Roosevelt's foreign policy of the "Big Stick" and turn it into one of a "Good Neighbor."

For many years, the Monroe Doctrine was practically a dead letter. The bold proclamation of 1823 that declared the Western Hemisphere forever free from European expansion bemused the imperial powers who knew the United States was simply too weak to enforce its claim. By 1900, the situation had changed. A bold, expanding America was spreading its wings, daring the old world order to challenge its newfound might. When Theodore Roosevelt became President, he decided to reassert Monroe's old declaration.

HELPPPPP?????!!! Discuss how globalization makes studying religions necessary.
eimsori [14]

Answer:

As a contested term, globalization has many definitions, each worthy of merit. Generally, globalization is first thought of “in economic and political terms, as a movement of capitalism spreading across the globe.”[1] It calls to mind “homogenizing exports of the US” such as Nike, McDonald’s, and MTV.[2] However, since globalization can be defined as a process of an “ever more interdependent world”[3] where “political, economic, social, and cultural relationships are not restricted to territorial boundaries or to state actors,” globalization has much do with its impact on cultures.[4]

The Magna Carta forced them to resist.
lutik1710 [3]

Answer: Magna Carta is one of the foundations of democracy.

Explanation:

The Magna Carta, in free vocabulary, was a document that brought equal justice to all. According to this document, things in medieval England changed so that everyone was equal before the law. The Magna Carta also implied the fact that in the future, even the king himself could not bear the consequences if he broke the law. The Magna Carta, as such, contains elements of democracy and the rule of law.

Which question best addresses the issue of risk with a new job?
raketka [301]
The correct answer should be B. Is there a chance this job might not work out?

This is a risk related question because it is a part of risk assessment. When asking such questions, you usually analyze the possible situation and the outcome in order to prevent bad things from happening. People ask this question when they decide on whether the business endeavor is a risk that they're willing to take or not. The other questions are important as well but are not as much related to risk assessment.
