How did the first Punic war differ from the second war?
olasank [31]

The Second Punic War was waged between Rome and Carthage between 218-201 BC and the First Punic War happened between 264 and 241 BC.

While the First Punic war was fought under the control of Sicily, the Second Punic War included confrontations between a bigger number of territories  (Spain, Sicily, Sardinia, Italy and North Africa).

The First Punic War did not break the strength and influence of Carthage completely, however it dramatically empowered Rome. After The Second Punic War Rome became the hegemon of the Western Mediterranean, and Carthage lost its powerful position.

do you agree or disagree with A.mitchel palmers efforts to prevent a radical evolution in the United States?
AveGali [126]
I disagree, honestly. I have looked up A.mitchell palmers and he was an aterney general. Radical evolution is a book based on humans with non-human abilities. It looks interesting but the man has nothing to do with Radical Evolution.

How did U.S. President Ronald Reagan apply pressure to the Soviet Union’s troubled economy?
Roman55 [17]
He added a new military system--Reagan instituted the "Star Wars" program increasing spending on missile systems.

Reagan's increase in military spending caused the Soviet Union to reply as they had in the past in the arms race with the US. The USSR was hurting financially and struggled to keep up with the arms race. This would eventually hurt the USSR's resources lending to collapse.
