Answer:

The author thought this because e-skin might hold promise for use in soft, wearable hearing aids. Unlike conventional aids, soft devices are more comfortable because they mold to human skin. When the ear receives sound vibrations, there are hair cells in the cochlea that vibrate and translate the sounds into electrical signals. These electrical signals are transmitted to the auditory nerve, which transmits the information to the brain.

The division of a bacterial cell into two daughter cells is accomplished by a protein called FtsZ. FtsZ is very similar to the t
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

The correct answer is FtsZ is very similar to the tubulin subunit that form microtubules in eukaryotes.

Explanation:

FtsZ protein plays a significant role during bacterial cell division.FtsZ is a GTP binding protein and also contain GTPase enzyme that helps in the hydrolysis of ATP .

      The principle function of FtsZ protein is to form filament in which the subunits are arranged in a specific manner.The filament then form a ring like structure which is called Z ring.

      The movement of subunits of FtsZ generate force that helps the cell to divide.

Suppose the cells of a tumor are idealized as spheres each with a radius of 5 mum (micrometers). The number of cells has a doub
loris [4]

Answer:

1044.3 days

Explanation:

Given,

Radius of sphere shaped cells of tumor = 5 micrometer

1 centimeter = 10,000 micrometers

Thus, radius of sphere in centimeters

= \frac{5}{10,000} \\

Volume of a sphere

= \frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}

Volume of one cell of tumor

\frac{4}{3} *(3.14)*(\frac{5}{10,000})^{3}\\= {5.23 * 10^{-10} centimeter cube

As we know ,

N(t) = N(0) e^{-kt}\\\\k = \frac{ln2}{35}\\ k = 0.0198 day^{-1}\\

Substituting all the given values in above equation, we get -

0.2 = 5.23 * 10^{-10} * e^{-0.0198*t}\\t = 1044.3 days
