Allison demonstrated courage when she wanted to quite swimming because she couldn't do push-ups but she kept training, when she didn't make it to the finals in the 2008 Olympics but she used it as motivation to continue training, when she changed her mind set and won the gold medal in the London Olympics, when she realized she had a mental illness and she asked for help and when she decided that what she went through could help a lot of people that is struggling with mental illness.
2. These demonstrations of courage are very different because some of them have to do with winning and losing and the other one has to do with dealing with depression and asking for help about her mental illness. However, in all the occasions she went ahead and she accomplished what she wished for.
3. I demonstrated courage in the past very similar to Allison: asking for help. It is the most important thing to do when we feel alone and strength less.
