Hannah ran two thirds of a mile in 1/6 of an hour. what is her unit rate in miles per hour
zmey [24]

she ran 2/3 mile in 1/6 hour, which means she ran 1/3 of a mile in 1/12 of an hour

so 1 mile would be run in 1/12 + 1/12+ 1/12 ( = 1/4 of an hour)

 there are 4 quarters to an hour so she is running at 4 miles per hour

True or false? If you took a true if then statement and inserted a knot in each closet, the new statement would also be true.
Firlakuza [10]
Answer: FALSE

Actually, the answer to this question depends on whether the clause is reversed or not.

Since we are not told whether the the clause is reversed or not. It is safe to assume that it was retained (i.e. not reversed). So the answer to this question is FALSE because if one takes a true "if-then" statement, inserted a 'not' in each clause, and retained the clauses, the new statement would NOT be true.

On the contrary, if the clause is reversed, the answer would be TRUE, because if one takes a true "if-then" statement, inserted a not in each clause, and reversed the clauses, the new statement would also be true.

Find f(-2) for f(x)=2(4)^x
lesya692 [45]
For this case we have the following exponential function:
 f (x) = 2 (4) ^ x

 To find the value of f (-2) what we must do is substitute the value of x = -2 in the given function.
 We have then:
 f (x) = 2 (4) ^{-2}
 Then, rewriting the function we have:
 f (x) =  \frac{2}{4^2}
 f (x) =  \frac{2}{16}
 Finally, simplifying we have:
 f (x) = \frac{1}{8}
 Answer:

The value of f (-2) is:
 f (x) = \frac{1}{8}

Remember, to solve this, you multiply the bigger numbers and add the exponents. if the exponents are negative they go on the bottom and are switched to a positive, you are trying to make the problem positive.
number 15 is A because you multiply 2 and 4 to get 8 and you add the exponents together if they are positive and are not a fraction
number 16 is D because you multiply all the bigger numbers together to get 48, then you add all the b's together to get four and all the a's to get 8
number 17 is D because you do the same by multiplying 5 and 3 to get 15, then adding the exponents to get 3 x's and 6 y's
number 18 is D because you multiply 5 and 2 and add the exponents to get 3 x's and 5 y's because the x without a number is a one so you make that one count and add 2 and one together to get 3
number 19 is B because the smaller number is negative so the y goes to the bottom and it becomes a y^3
number 20 is A because both exponents are negative and go to the bottom and become positive
number 21 is D because its the same case as number 20
Lastly Number 22 is B
I hope this helps and is correct lol
