Coral bleaching is a process by which the corals lose their color and turn white as they release the algae with which they were present in a symbiotic relationship.
When ocean acidification occurs it causes stress on the corals and due to this stress, it releases the symbiotic algae which was providing nutrition and color to the color.
As the algae are lost the coral loses its color and is said to be bleached.
