The Missouri Compromise was primarily aimed at resolving the issue of admitting a slave or free state and which to divide them among after a piece of land was acquired . So the issue was controversy upon admitting slave states or free states into new territories . <span />
On January 20, 1961, the handsome and charismatic John F. Kennedy became president of the United States. His confidence that, as one historian put it, “the government possessed big answers to big problems” seemed to set the tone for the rest of the decade. However, that golden age never materialized. On the contrary, by the end of the 1960s it seemed that the nation was falling apart.
B. in the late eighteenth century
The Third Estate in France was made up of the commoners. This group comprimised 98 per cent of the population. Most were rural peasants working on farms as share croppers to a lord. There were also urban commoners who lived in the cities whose life was little better. The third estate was not represented by the government. High taxes and other required payments, lack of housing and high rents plus rising food prices all contributed to the French Revolution.
