Symptoms: Cognitive: mental decline, difficulty thinking and understanding, confusion in the evening hours, delusion, disorientation, forgetfulness, making things up, mental confusion, difficulty concentrating, inability to create new memories, inability to do simple math, or inability to recognize common things. What do you do if a resident only wants dessert for their lunch
Orlov [11]
Have a conversation and tell them positive things about having a healthier lunch. You could also tell your resident about the smell and taste of a healthier lunch that you might want to give them. If that doesn’t work, just straight up tell them “no” and explain that it is unhealthy and you are trying to do what is best for them.
