A briefly explain the genetic and evolutionary implications of lederberg and lederberg’s (1952 finding that mutations adapted to

particular culture conditions (e.g., the presence of antibiotics existed before the selective culture conditions were imposed. b how did “replica plating” contribute to this conclusion?

Lederbergs' experiment of the prevalence of mutations before selective culture was proved by replica plating. They spread bacteria on the plate and allowed them to grow. Next, they stamped the growth on the new plate which was already containing penicillin. The bacteria were able to grow on this plate, even when they never exposed to the antibiotic before. This proved that some of the bacteria were already mutated and were not as a result of exposure to selective culture conditions.

If you use pyrotechnic visual distress signals, how many unexpired vdss must you carry on board your vessel?.
Marina86 [1]

If you use visual pyrotechnic distress signals, 6 pairs of unexpired vdss must be taken on board your vessel.

How many visual pyrotechnic distress signals to carry on the vessels?

In coastal areas, up to 20 miles from the coast, the mandatory set of six flares must consist of two red star manual flares, two red star rockets with parachutes and two floating orange smoke (smoke) flares.

With this information, we can conclude that If you use visual pyrotechnic distress signals, 6 pairs of unexpired vdss must be taken on board your vessel.

The diploid chromosomal number of a cat is 38. If one of the homologous chromosome pairs does not separate during Meiosis I, how
kow [346]

Answer:

25 and 21

Explanation:

if a homologous pair does not separate, then the homologous pair (when the spindle fibers are dragging it over to the other pole), then that chromosomes DNA will be the exact same as the paternal and maternals' DNA. During Meiosis I, there is the stage where the homologous pairs are lined up and pulled apart (where an exchange tends to happen), but if there pair doesn't mix, then the exact same DNA is duplicated, and thus, the same traits can be found in the daughter cell. If you are talking about an entire homologous pair being pulled over to one side of the nucleus, depriving the other side of a chromosomal pair, the daughter cells would then have 21 chromosomes, and the other one would have 25 chromosomes. The gametes, similarly, would have 21 chromosomes and 25 chromosomes.
