The Bill of Rights is apart of the constitution, whereas the democratic party and political parties are not mentioned in the constitution. I would go with political parties since they were developed during the same time as the constitution and is broader than just democrats (the democratic party was founded in the early 1820s.)

By the 1920s, there were many more labor saving devices, particularly ones that reduced the difficulty of housework. These gave Americans more time to do things other than simply working. Second, technology gave Americans more things to do with that newly-found spare time.

It increased the size of the United States because it was based on the idea that America was destined by God to expand from the Atlantic to the Pacific, in other words, it encouraged many to expand west.
