Answer:

Three of the things the Marshall Plan was designed to do were:

-Rebuild the European industrial complex

-Stem the tied of communism in the region

-Relieve food shortages

Explanation:

The Marshall Plan was an American initiative to help Western Europe, in which the United States gave economic aid worth about 14 billion dollars for the reconstruction of those countries in Europe devastated after World War II. The plan was in operation for four years since 1948. The objectives of the United States were to rebuild those areas destroyed by the war, eliminate barriers to trade, modernize European industry and make the continent prosperous again; All of these objectives were aimed at preventing the spread of communism, which had a large and growing influence in post-war Europe. The Marshall Plan required a decrease in inter-state barriers, less regulation of business and encouraged an increase in productivity, union membership and new "modern" business models.

2. Why has the tense relationship between India and Pakistan raised<br> global concern?
Deffense [45]
Territorial disputes over the Kashmir region sparked two of the three major Indo-Pakistani wars in 1947 and 1965, and a limited war in 1999. Although both countries have maintained a fragile cease-fire since 2003, they regularly exchange fire across the contested border, known as the Line of Control. Both sides accuse the other of violating the cease-fire and claim to be shooting in response to attacks. An uptick in border skirmishes that began in late 2016 and continued into 2018 killed dozens and displaced thousands of civilians on both sides of the Line of Control.

Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

Imagine you’re going to give a speech in front of the pope just before the start of the Protestant reformation. Your speech is meant to warn him about the challenges that will soon confront the Roman Catholic Church. Your speech should explain which of the reformations causes you think that the church has control over and which it doesn’t. It should also offer advice on how to handle the issues the Catholic Church does have control over. Your advice should be supported by actual historical events from before, during, and even after the Protestant reformation that you have learned about in this lesson
