Answer:

Three of the things the Marshall Plan was designed to do were:

-Rebuild the European industrial complex

-Stem the tied of communism in the region

-Relieve food shortages

Explanation:

The Marshall Plan was an American initiative to help Western Europe, in which the United States gave economic aid worth about 14 billion dollars for the reconstruction of those countries in Europe devastated after World War II. The plan was in operation for four years since 1948. The objectives of the United States were to rebuild those areas destroyed by the war, eliminate barriers to trade, modernize European industry and make the continent prosperous again; All of these objectives were aimed at preventing the spread of communism, which had a large and growing influence in post-war Europe. The Marshall Plan required a decrease in inter-state barriers, less regulation of business and encouraged an increase in productivity, union membership and new "modern" business models.

steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

Directly or indirectly, the economies of all 13 British colonies in North America depended on slavery. By the 1620s, the labor-intensive cultivation of tobacco for European markets was established in Virginia, with white indentured servants performing most of the heavy labor. Before 1660 only a fraction of Virginia planters held slaves. By 1675 slavery was well established, and by 1700 slaves had almost entirely replaced indentured servants. With plentiful land and slave labor available to grow a lucrative crop, southern planters prospered, and family-based tobacco plantations became the economic and social norm.
