Biologists have classified the elephant shrew, a small mole-like mammal, with other shrews of similar size and body shape. Howev

er, this classification has been questioned, since elephant shrews have much more well-developed eyes and ears than other animals in the shrew family and use their tongues like anteaters to feed on insects, a trait not shared with true shrews. Because of their similarities to anteaters, a biologist has proposed that the elephant shrew is more closely related to anteaters than to shrews. Design a plan for investigating the validity of this new hypothesis. Describe your plan and include the methods and sources of material you would need to carry out your plan.

A retrovirus hijacks a cell's machinery to turn its rna into dna, which is then inserted into the cell's genome so viral protein
Doss [256]
No this virus does not follow the Central Dogma of Biology. The Central Dogma refers to the process involved in cellular replication starting from the replication of DNA, followed by transcription of DNA to RNA, and finally translation of RNA to proteins.

Viruses are special because they hijack cells and use the cell's own mechanisms in order for it replicate. Retroviruses are even more special because they go against the unidirectional flow of the Central Dogma. This is done with the use of their reverse transcriptase.

Why do some regions specialize in "milk products" like cheese and butter rather than fluid milk? identify some of these importan
kati45 [8]
This happens because these regions are located further away from urban areas and the milk can easily get spoiled before it is delivered to the consumers. Therefore, dairy farms which are away from urban areas, process the milk in order to produce milk products that can last longer. Milk products such as butter or cheese can stay fresh for a longer period of time and they do not get spoiled before reaching the consumers. New Zealand is a place where this practice is quite common since it is located at a great distance from important markets, such as Europe and North America. Milk can be shipped at such a great distance only in the form of processed milk products.
